We'll explain the compás 

We'll explain basics of what you hear from the guitar

 

José Merino along with guitarist Manuel 'el Marmol' will join together to introduce the rhythm of two palos - Soleá and Alegrias.

For each palo they will discuss:

  • The basic rhythm / compás
  • How the compás sounds when played on the guitar
  • How the sound of the guitar changes when accompanying a remate or llamada (or other typical parts of a dance)
  • Typical palmas patterns for each palo
